Mona Bibber was born and raised on the scenic Maine coast. Her upbringing is reflected in her painted work, which has a strong emphasis on seascapes and animals. Though Bibber suffered a stroke in 1996, she has not slowed down. She continues to paint, now in a more fluid and impressionistic manner. Bibber also continues to write, both poetry and personal journal writing. She has shown her work extensively in Maine and recently performed in the Spindleworks orchestra during the production of the multi-media extravaganza, As I See It. Bibber is a member of Spindleworks, a nonprofit organization for artists with disabilities in Brunswick, Maine.
