Larry Cather (born 1942)
Larry Cather returned to making art at Creativity Explored in San Francisco in 2001 after a ten year absence. Cather is a versatile artist who works with a variety of media but prefers pen and marker. His subject matter is mainly figurative but pattern plays a large role in all of his compositions. Best known for landscapes broken down into patches of patterned color, Cather’s work often appears textile-like. Not only a visual artist, Cather is also a talented musician. He plays both guitar and harmonica at the church that he attends.
